Mesa Arch is one of those arches that is perfectly positioned, not only for the vista that lay behind it of the canyon floor, but it's almost perfect north south orientation, to get the morning sun perfectly framed. Not only does one have to get there early to capture the sunrise, you need to get there even earlier to get a spot in front of the arch. This is a world famous arch, and almost every day, the front row, prime spots are filled up by all the photographers wanting to capture that beautiful moment of the sun just cresting over the horizon. I have been there a couple of times and the moment never gets old.
